Akron, OH. - December 21, 2005 -- Apteryx, Inc., a custom software development company based in Akron, donated computers, displays and other peripherals to a local high school.

Apteryx purchased dozens of Dell PCs and LCD displays, along with a few Wacom graphic tablets and other equipment for Copley High School, part of the Copley-Fairlawn City Schools. The total value of the donation was ,000.

“It is my belief that it is up to individuals and corporations to help give our schools the tools they need in order to provide the best possible level of education to our future generations,” stated Kevin Crucs, Apteryx President. “We donated these computers to the school in the hopes that they will help achieve that goal.”

Apteryx has traditionally donated their used equipment, which over the years has amounted to the tens of thousands of dollars of equipment to local schools. Being in the technology sector, Apteryx must keep their computing arsenal state-of-the-art which results in donations of computer equipment that is typically only one to two years old.
